Classic Game Room HD – TIME SPLITTERS 1 for PS2
Classic Game Room HD reviews TIME SPLITTERS for Playstation 2, the first one! Released in 2000 from Free Radical, published by Eidos, Time Splitters is one of the best shooter series ever created and the most underrated. Play as a variety of wacky characters in this Goldeneye style FPS where laser guns and proximity mines are the name of the game. This CGRHD review of Time Splitters has gameplay from the first Timesplitters showing game play on PS2. Play with up 2 four people using the PS2 multitap. The Playstation 2 never skips a beat as it runs Timesplitters 1 fast and smooth with no framerate issues. The sound effects are hilarious as are the character animations. The storyline mode is challenging and fairly short but the multiplayer mode is one of the best out there. The game keeps track of pretty much every statistic you’d ever want to know (and some you don’t). The fate of the Time Splitters series is unknown at the moment, fans of Timesplitters want a PS3 and Xbox 360 version asap (and Vectrex). Bring back Time Splitters, one of the greatest games ever made! It was fun, it had excellent gameplay, furious action and awesome weapons. Time Splitters is outta sight.

10 years ago? Yes, you are correct but this opinion is actually based now, it’s petty sound, I just didn’t like the poor presentation it gave off, it felt too shallow for me. I feel that you are lecturing me on the fact I am solely the age 15 thus I am ignorant in my gaming knowledge and understanding, but I won’t go there. Remember, even if I am 15, I still remember a lot of golden age games that modern, pop-culture kids don’t reminisnce about, whom play a lot of MODW2.

Best thing about this game in multiplayer….map creation and 10,000 kills. I played literally six hours of one MP game. Making your own maps with different lighting was the best.

… I hated this game for being monotonuous, repetitive and short in terms of gameplay, it also was very difficult to shoot even in easy however is still recommended due to the choice of beefy weapons and inane caricatures. Graphically looks dated for now but then it was ‘the shit’, it was when low-poly didn’t mean ‘low-res’. The Lifespan of the game was atricious for single player but multiplayer was huge in this, they need to make an online game of this. TS2 was a definite improvement.

The first TimeSplitters came out on the PS2 only. TimeSplitters 2 and TimeSplitters Future Perfect came out on PS2, XBOX and Gamecube.

C’mon! I like the mysterious threshod/time-space-demision monsters better than some testube generic monsters…It was cheesy and fun but I like the TS1 All 3 great but TS1 has a special place.
