What is the difference between PlayStation 3 and Blue-Ray Disk player?

PlayStation 3 I believe has a built in Blue-Ray Disk player I think.

So what is the difference in between the two players basically.

The PS3 can play PS3 games and Blu-ray disks while the bluray players can only play bluray disks.
