It was very disappointing to get my code in a hurry living overseas since there is not other way other than purchased cards only to find out that I have spent $20 for a “Silver” membership which is free. I have asked for a refund so we will see how Amazon responds to spending $20 for a membership that is free to create on xbox live anyway

XBOX LIVE – worst customer service and it appears as if AMAZON employees are putting up phony 5 star reviews
I’ve had very bad experiences with XBOX LIVE, having paid with a credit card years ago, and then having them automatically renew it with my credit card info, then having payment confirmed, still not being able to get the service. They don’t have my new email address, so I don’t receive the “confirmation code”, their “customer service” in India cannot retrieve or issue a new code, they still keep the charges, I get to enjoy the “silver” (already ‘free’) service, no netflix streaming which all I really wanted…
A couple long phone sessions and endless emails with “customer service representatives” only capable of reading the Microsoft script… I finally gave up knowing with crystal clear certainty that the XBOX LIVE TEAM AND MICROSOFT SUCKS like a tranny on a trailer hitch.
Apparently there are lots of people posting “wow thanks Amazon for a really great awesome service here” even though all of the many one star reviews comment directly on Amazon’s slow response time and its inability (like XBOX’s customer service) to issue or re-issue codes when there’s a problem.
I believe that it’s an example of AMAZON employees putting up phony 5 star reviews. I thought Amazon was better than that.

I am only 14 so I don”t have a credit card and my parents wont use theirs to buy this but i got a $100 gift card from my grandmother for hanukkah and now I cant buy this because I can’t afford to buy the actual card because i only have $23 left so I can’t pay for shipping. Amazon should really allow you to use gift cards for this.
